3. Application Process

4. Selection Process

5. Training Details

Pre-Commission Training Academy

Selected candidates will undergo training at Officer Training Academy (OTA), Gaya, Bihar.

Duration of Training

The training will last 49 weeks from October 2025 to September 2026.

Stipend During Training

Candidates will receive a stipend of ₹56,100 per month during their training period.

Rank on Completion of Training

After successful completion of training, candidates will be commissioned as Lieutenants in the Indian Army.


6. Salary and Benefits

Salary on Commissioning

On commissioning, candidates will receive a CTC (Cost to Company) of approximately ₹17-18 lakh per annum.
This does not include additional benefits such as free medical cover and one travel allowance per year to the home town.


7. Commission Details

Type of Commission

This is a Short Service Commission (SSC), meaning officers will serve for a fixed period.

Minimum and Maximum Service Period

  • Minimum Engagement Period – 10 years
  • Maximum Engagement Period – 14 years

Options for Release

Candidates have three options for voluntary release from service:

  1. After 5 years
  2. After 10 years
  3. After 14 years

Option for Permanent Commission

Candidates can opt for permanent commission after completing 10 years of service.


8. Service Arms and Posting

After commissioning, candidates may be posted in the following branches of the Indian Army:

  • Corps of Engineers
  • Corps of Signals
  • Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME)

Additionally, some candidates may get commissioned in other arms or services as required by the Army.
